Post Creative Content
In this final session of the series, we turn to creative content—the work you do yourself to attract, engage, and convert learners.
The Big Idea
Nobody buys your course simply for the course itself. What they truly want is the destination—a transformation or solution to their problem. Your course is the bridge (or elevator) that gets them there. When promoting, don’t sell “the bridge.” Sell the destination.
Why Consistency Beats Expertise
Success is not determined by being the smartest person in the room, but by being the most consistent. Publishing regular, helpful content builds exposure, trust, and momentum. People rarely buy after seeing something once—they buy after repeated, low-pressure exposure that builds comfort and credibility.
The Buyer’s Journey and Content Types
Most course creators make the mistake of writing only for people who already know their problem and are comparing solutions. To capture more learners, you must create content for every stage of the journey:
- Unaware → helping people recognize and name their problem.
- Problem aware → showing possible solutions.
- Solution aware → comparing options.
- Product aware → highlighting your unique value.
- Most aware → giving the final push to purchase.
Different types of content help at each stage—mindset posts, how-to tutorials, checklists, comparisons, case studies, stories, tools, and even interactive content (like calculators, recommendation forms, or interactive videos).
Framework for Content Creation
Think of your content as a grid with columns (stages of awareness) and rows (content approaches). Filling in this grid generates dozens of content ideas—enough for months of consistent publishing. The goal isn’t massive “ultimate guides” but steady, focused posts (500–1,200 words) that answer one question at a time.
Why It Works
- Practice improves quality – the more content you create, the better you get.
- Visibility in a competitive market – consistent publishing keeps you top of mind.
- Trust-building – by solving problems for free, you prove your course is a trustworthy solution.
Homework
Build your own content grid. Fill in titles for posts across different stages of awareness and types of content. Write and publish steadily—one post at a time. Over time, you’ll create a library of content that moves learners step by step toward enrolling in your course.
