Setting Up the Reset Password Page
The Reset Password Page allows learners to securely reset their password if they forget it. Setting up this page ensures users always have a smooth way back into your courses.
Creating the Page
- From your WordPress dashboard, go to Pages > Add New.
- Give the page a title (e.g., Reset Password).
- Click the “+” button in the top-left corner of the editor.
- Type Reset in the search bar.
- Select or drag the LearnDash Reset Password block onto the page.
At this point, you can add additional elements such as instructions, branding, or helpful links.
Publishing the Page
Once you’ve added the block and customized the page:
- Click Publish to make the page live.
Linking the Page in LearnDash Settings
- Return to LearnDash LMS > Settings.
- Click the Registration and Login tab.
- Locate the Reset Password Page dropdown and select your new page.
- Click Save to confirm.
Why This Matters
Without a reset password page, learners who forget their login details may get stuck and drop out of your course. Adding this page ensures a seamless, frustration-free experience that keeps learners engaged.
Tip: Add a short reassurance message at the top of the page like “Forgot your password? No problem—reset it below.” to make the process friendlier.
